As of today, Friday, June 11, 2021, Phase 3 of the state ordinance is in effect in the Schwarzwald-Baar district. This means, for example, that museums can once again be visited without a test. The Franciscan Museum has offered free admission to its permanent exhibitions since 2016. This means you can now “just drop by” during regular opening hours. You can also take a guided tour via audio guide at no cost. Simply download the museum app to your phone at home or in the Franziskaner foyer, and you’re ready to go: either to the “Magdalenenberg Celtic Princely Tomb” section, the “City History” section, or the “Black Forest Collection.” Already familiar with the app and have listened to all 75 audio stations?
Then why not be among the first to see the special exhibition “The 1920s as Reflected by Villingen’s Modernist Artists”? It’s also open to visitors without a test. Admission is €5.00, or €3.00 with a discount.
We look forward to seeing you!

This coming Sunday, museum director Dr. Anita Auer invites you to the first public guided tour of the new art exhibition. Join the curator on a journey back to the “Golden Twenties” of the last century. The portraits by the Villingen painters are particularly fascinating. Which dazzling personalities of that era did they portray? Where did the painters and their models meet?
Tickets for admission and the guided tour are available for €7.00, or €5.00 with a discount.
