In the Spotlight

City guide Gunther Schwarz presents his favorite item from the Franziskanermuseum’s permanent collection. The guest leading this “In the Spotlight” tour has long supported the work of the Franciscan Museum and has been guiding groups of visitors through his “beloved Villingen,” as he himself writes, for over 15 years.
Gunther Schwarz was born in Franconia in 1951 and later grew up in the Baden capital of Karlsruhe. He studied at the local college of education and began teaching at various schools in the Schwarzwald-Baar district in 1973. He and his family live in Königsfeld.
Afterward, the Friends of the Municipal Museums will host a social gathering at the Café im Franziskaner.
